The Annual Vancouver Toy Run happens every year in the lower mainland, following the regular route from Coquitlam Centre to the PNE grounds to drop of the toys. The ride departs at 9:30 am sharp.
The event is very well attended by bikers of all shapes and sizes. Coast Riders are well represented each year and we have a lot of fun participating in this worth while charity event and enjoy getting to ride through all the red lights along the parade root with lots of onlooker cheering from the side walks.
In a sea of motorcycles like this, it’s almost impossible to meet and ride with friends. We meet before the run at the A&W in Coquitlam at 1355 Lougheed Highway and ride over together. This lets us stay as a group on the ride.
We all meet at the PNE at the end and usually those who want to may ride off afterwards to have a lunch before heading our separate ways.
The Toy Run is the “cut-off” to get your mileage in for the Club’s “Buns of Steel” competition. Turn in your mileage even if it isn’t a large number, we’d like to see how far the club collectively rides in a year.
